By popular request, we’ll be running our fun little pick ‘em contest for the Stanley Cup Playoffs this year. The rules are the same as last year. So, get your picks in and let’s have some fun. Trash talk and over analyzing picks in the comments is strongly encouraged.
2011 Puck ‘N Hockey Playoffs Pick ‘Ems
For each series, pick the team you think will win and how many games the series will go for. If your team wins, you will get points. If you also correctly predict how many games the series will go, you will be awarded 1 bonus point. During the Conference Quarterfinals picks you will also predict how many goals will be scored in the final game of the Stanley Cup Finals to be used as a tie breaker if needed at the end of the playoffs.
The points awarded for each correct series winner pick will be weighted as follows:
- Conference Quarterfinals = 1 point
- Conference Semifinals = 2 points
- Conference Finals = 5 points
- Stanley Cup Finals = 10 points
At the end of each round, we’ll re-rack the match-ups for the next round and start the picks over. Points will accumulate from round to round. If you start picking from the beginning, that’s great but you don’t have to.
We’ll post regular updates on standings and poke fun at the winners and losers along the way.
At the end of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, the person with the most points wins.
What do you win? Bragging rights. We don’t have a prize budget here.
When you fill out the form below, your official picks will be e-mailed to Puck ‘N Hockey. We will also send you a copy of your picks. If you want, put your picks in the comments area of this post to make them visible instantly. However, we won’t be scoring based on picks in comments.
Get your picks in for the first round before 6:00pm Eastern on April 13th.
This should be a lot of fun.
